1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Dosty mobile application ("App"), website https://dosty.co/ ("Website"), and the services provided therein. By accessing or using our App or Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use these platforms. These platforms are collectively referred to as "Platforms."

Dosty is owned and operated by SIA Dosty, a company incorporated in Latvia with a registered address at Valdeku iela 62 k-1 - 4, Riga, Latvia. Our contact email is [email protected].
3. Services
Dosty is a pet care mobile application offering the following features and services:
3.1 AI Daily Tips
Dosty generates personalised daily tips for each pet based on their profile information (such as species, breed, age, and health records). These tips are produced entirely by an automated AI system and are not reviewed by a veterinarian before delivery. They are intended for general informational purposes only and do not constitute veterinary advice. By using this feature, you acknowledge its automated nature in accordance with EU AI Act Article 52 transparency requirements.
3.2 AI Chat Assistant
Dosty provides an AI-powered chat assistant through which you can ask pet-related questions and share text, images, and files to receive guidance. The AI Chat is a fully automated system and may not always provide accurate or complete information. All responses should be validated with a qualified veterinarian where relevant. By using this feature, you acknowledge you are interacting with an AI system and not a human. Use of this feature constitutes your agreement to these limitations.
3.3 Community
Dosty includes a community feed where pet owners can share posts (text and images), comment on and like content posted by others, and report content that violates our Community Guidelines. By participating in the Community, you agree to the conduct standards set out in Section 6.
3.4 Symptom Checker
Dosty offers a rule-based Symptom Checker developed in collaboration with veterinary professionals. The tool guides users through a structured questionnaire to help identify possible reasons behind a specific symptom. The Symptom Checker is a preliminary informational tool only. It does not provide a diagnosis and must not be used as a substitute for professional veterinary consultation or treatment. Always consult a licensed veterinarian if your pet is unwell.
3.5 Content Library
Dosty provides a curated library of text articles and video content prepared by pet care experts. All content is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute veterinary advice.
3.6 Pet Profile and Care Reminders
Dosty allows you to create and maintain a profile for each of your pets, including vaccination records, grooming schedules, flea treatment history, and feeding routines. Based on this profile, Dosty can send you care reminders. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of information entered in your pet’s profile. Reminder notifications are provided as a convenience only and do not substitute for professional veterinary scheduling advice.
4. Access and Use of the App
4.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 12 years old to use our App. If you are under the age of 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use our App.
4.2 User Account
To access certain features of the Platforms, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update it as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4.3 Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use the Platforms for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm us, our users, or any third party. In particular, you may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Platforms or included software.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of our Platforms.
- Use our Platforms to transmit any viruses or malicious content.
- Attempt to manipulate, deceive, or abuse the AI features, including by submitting content designed to circumvent the system’s limitations.
- Upload content to the Community or AI Chat that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- Impersonate another person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
5.1 Free and Paid Trials
We may offer free or paid trial subscriptions. If not cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the trial, you will be automatically charged the subscription fee.
5.2 Subscription Plans
Dosty offers various subscription plans. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment methods include those available through the App Store or Google Play in your region, as well as credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay for our website.
5.3 Refunds
Payments made through the App Store or Google Play are subject to their respective refund policies. Payments made directly through our website are generally non-refundable except where confirmed bugs prevent proper use of the App. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact [email protected].
EU Consumer Rights: If you are an EU consumer, you may have additional cancellation and refund rights under applicable EU consumer protection law, including the right of withdrawal within 14 days of purchase where applicable. These statutory rights are not affected by this policy.
5.4 Payment Methods
Payments can be made via Credit Card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Payment will be processed upon confirmation of purchase or at the end of a trial period.
5.5 Payment Processing
The Company shall designate the specific account to be used for processing payments at its discretion, retaining full authority in the selection thereof.
6. Content and Conduct
6.1 User Content
You retain all rights to any content you upload or create on the Platforms ("User Content"). By providing User Content, you grant Dosty a non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, copy, modify, publicly display, publicly perform, distribute, and create derivative works from your User Content for the purposes of operating, improving, and promoting the Platforms.
6.2 Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting or publishing it. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to grant the above licences to Dosty.
6.3 Prohibited Content
You agree not to post any User Content that is:
- Unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, or obscene.
- Infringing on the intellectual property rights of others.
- Misleading, false, or likely to deceive other users, particularly regarding pet health or the capabilities of Dosty’s AI features.
- Spam, unauthorised advertising, or promotional material.
6.4 Community Guidelines
By using the Community feature, you agree to engage respectfully with other pet owners, refrain from sharing misleading or harmful information, and follow all content and conduct policies in this Section 6. Dosty reserves the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate user access to the Community feature at its discretion.
6.5 Content Moderation and Reporting
Users may report content that violates these guidelines using the in-app report function or by contacting [email protected]. Dosty reserves the right to remove violating content and terminate accounts of repeat violators.
6.6 Expert and AI-Generated Content
Content in the Content Library has been prepared by pet care experts. AI-generated content (including Daily Tips and AI Chat responses) is produced by automated systems and has not been verified by a veterinarian. Neither expert-prepared nor AI-generated content constitutes veterinary advice.
7. Disclaimers
7.1 Medical Disclaimer
All information provided through the Platforms — including AI Daily Tips, AI Chat responses, Symptom Checker outputs, and Content Library materials — is for informational purposes only. Dosty is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always seek the advice of your veterinarian or other qualified animal health provider with any questions you have regarding your pet’s health. Do not disregard or delay seeking professional veterinary advice because of something you have read or received on the Platforms.
If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, immediately contact your veterinarian or take your pet to the nearest animal hospital. Do not rely on any information from the Platforms during such emergencies.
The Symptom Checker is a rule-based informational tool developed with veterinary input. It does not provide a clinical diagnosis and must not be used as a substitute for veterinary consultation.
7.2 AI Content Disclaimer
AI-generated content, including Daily Tips and AI Chat responses, is produced by automated systems. While we aim for accuracy and relevance, AI outputs may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Dosty makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.
7.3 Liability Disclaimer
The Platforms are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platforms will be secure or available at all times. We are not responsible for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in any content provided on the Platforms.
8. Limitation of Liability
SIA Dosty, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App or Website, including any reliance on AI-generated content, Symptom Checker outputs, care reminders, or Community posts.
Our total liability to you for any damages arising from the use of the App will not exceed the amount you have paid to use the App in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100 if no payments have been made.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law, including mandatory EU consumer protection rights.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold SIA Dosty harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Platforms, your violation of these Terms, or any applicable law.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance via the App or by email, and where required by law we will seek your consent. Your continued use of the App or Website after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Platforms and may cancel your subscription in accordance with Section 5.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platforms immediately ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including Sections 6.1, 7, 8, 9, and 14.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Latvia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App or Website will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Latvia.
EU Consumer Rights: If you are a consumer located in the EU, you may also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer under applicable EU law. The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform accessible at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14.2 Third-Party Links
The Platforms may contain links to third-party websites or services not owned or controlled by Dosty. We assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.
14.3 Advertising and Monetization
You acknowledge that our Platforms may be supported by advertising revenues and that we may place advertising, promotions, or sponsored content on the Platforms. The manner, mode, and extent of such advertising are subject to change without notice.
14.4 Support
If you have concerns regarding our Platforms, please contact us at [email protected]. Our App is provided over the internet and mobile networks and its availability may be affected by factors outside our control.
14.5 Changes to Our App
We may automatically update our App from time to time to improve performance, enhance functionality, or address security issues. We are not liable for any interruption or modification due to such updates.
14.6 Notice and Takedown
If you believe your content has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, you may submit a DMCA notification to us. If we confirm alleged or actual infringement, we will take appropriate action under applicable intellectual property laws.
14.7 Survival
Upon termination of these Terms, all provisions that by their nature should survive will continue in effect, including provisions on ownership, warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution.
14.8 Other Provisions
No one other than a party to these Terms has any right to enforce any provision thereof. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another company and will ensure the transfer does not affect your rights.
14.9 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.
14.10 Waiver
Our failure to assert any right under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right.
14.11 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations to another party without notice to you, provided that your rights under these Terms are not materially affected.
14.12 Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Dosty regarding the use of the Platforms and supersede any prior agreements, whether written or oral.
14.13 Headings
The headings in these Terms are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.
14.14 Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the Platforms will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the relevant arbitration authority. The arbitration will take place in Latvia, and the language of the arbitration will be English. This clause does not affect any mandatory consumer dispute resolution rights you may have under EU law.
14.15 Class Action Waiver
You agree that any disputes will be resolved on an individual basis and not as part of a class, collective, or representative action, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
14.16 Notice Requirements
All notices to Dosty must be in writing and sent to our legal address at Valdeku iela 62 k-1 - 4, Riga, Latvia, or via email to [email protected]. Notices will be deemed received 24 hours after an email is sent or three days after a letter is mailed.
14.17 Governing Language
These Terms are executed in English, and the English language version shall control in all respects. Any translations are provided for convenience only and shall not control the interpretation of these Terms.
